Tonka Bean absolute is obtained from Dipteryx odorata, a large tropical tree native to Brazil, Guyana, and Venezuela, also cultivated in Nigeria and elsewhere in West Africa.
Aroma Description: warm and sweet notes reminiscent of Clove, caramel, almond and vanilla. TONKA BEAN ABS gives a very nice natural effect in the fern, amber and oriental notes. Coumarin is responsible of the pleasant odor of the beans, which led the perfume industry to label these extracts in the “Gourmand” family.
