Sunflower wax is a natural vegetable wax obtained from the winterization (cooling and filtration) of sunflower seed oil (Helianthus annuus). During this process, the higher-melting compounds in the oil mainly long-chain saturated fatty alcohols and fatty acids are separated out to form a hard off white to light yellow, brittle wax.
